Volunteers

Volunteers are a most valuable part of any organisation. We are enormously grateful for the huge amount of pro bono support received from barristers, solicitors, other Law Centres, medical and engineering experts and befrienders without whom, the Centre’s work and impact would be very limited. We in the Mercy Law Resource Centre welcome volunteers who will contribute to and share in our aim of assisting those who are homeless or otherwise in need of accessing free legal services.

Legal Volunteers

If you are interested in joining our team in a voluntary capacity should contact us by e-mail at info@mercylaw.ie and the Solicitor-in-Charge will be back in touch with you regarding our current voluntary requirements.

Befrienders

We recruit volunteers on a regular basis to act as befrienders to our clients. The role of befriender involves accompanying someone through the process of trying to access the services they need.   Anyone interested in becoming a befriender should contact Caitriona O’Hara, Volunteer Coordinator, by phone at 01 4537459 or email at info@mercylaw.ie .
